Choose two January bulletins, two February bulletins,
and one March bulletin for your entry.

To be considered for awards,
submissions for both
printed and electronic club bulletins
must be postmarked by Monday, March 16, 2009,

and/or received by Saturday, March 21, 2009.*

Send your entry to Mike Griffin,

407 Ferncliff Drive, Signal Mountain, TN 37377.

  • To be considered for an electronic bulletin, the bulletin must be published and distributed electronically (not sent as an Acrobat/.pdf, Microsoft Word/.doc, or other file attached to an email).
  • If a bulletin is published and distributed electronically (see above) and distributed in printed format, the club must specify the category for which the bulletin is submitted. If there is no specification, the committee will assume it is a print bulletin submission.
  • If a bulletin is sent as an attachment to an email, even if no printed copies are distributed, it it should be submitted as a printed bulletin.
  • Questions? Contact Mike Griffin via email: mjgriffin@ftb.com

Club bulletin content will be evaluated as follows:

  • Information about the club (service projects, member news/recognitions, budgets, etc.) 30%
  • Information about past, current, and upcoming programs and speakers of the club 20%
  • Information about Rotary International, including The Rotary Foundation 20%
  • Information about activities within the district, including items from the district governor’s newsletter 10%
  • Appearance (attractiveness, formatted so that it is easily read and attracts readers) 10%
  • Other (community news, industry coming to the area; anecdotes; inspiration; humor) 10%

It is strongly suggested that each club obtain and study a copy of the RI 24-page publication # 605a-EN,  Communities in Action: A Guide to Effective Projects (click the underlined link or go to www.rotary.org, and put the publication number or title in the search box at the top of the page). It can be ordered from RI for $3 plus shipping and handling (click the underlined link to download an order form).

We look forward to and highly encourage your submissions. Please contact us with questions. I can be reached at most any time 6 am to Midnight on my cell phone.

* Meeting either deadline will qualify your entry for consideration:

POSTMARKED by Monday, March 16, 2009,

 and/or RECEIVED by Saturday, March 21, 2009.
