District 6780 Goals and Objectives

2009-2010

 

Carry out the Long-Range Plan Vision Statement: District 6780 will be a district that facilitates club growth by identifying, investigating and eliminating barriers that are common to many clubs in the District, and by establishing District programs that enable and accelerate club growth, so that the clubs grow in many directions and the District is seen as an enabler of clubs and leaders among other districts.

 

Club Achievement

  • Presidential Citation - All 65 clubs to receive the RI Presidential Citation
  • District Governor's Citation of Excellence - All 65 clubs to receive the District Governor's Citation of Excellence
  • Awards of Excellence - All 65clubs to submit at least one entry for the District Awards of Excellence

Implement Successful Service Projects

  • All 65 clubs to have a successful service project in each of the Four Avenues of Service (vocational, community, international, and club service).

 New Generations

  • A New Generations club chair to be appointed in all 65 clubs.
  • The New Generations club chair and/or representative attend a New Generations seminar.

Rotary Friendship Exchange

  • To increase awareness of the Rotary Friendship Exchange.

Membership (Sustain and Increase)

  • Net one member increase per club.
  • Charter one new club.
  • Membership Chair and/or representative of all 65 clubs attend a Membership seminar.
  • At least one member from all 65 clubs represented at the 2010 District Conference in Chattanooga.
  • At least 16 Rotarians from District 6780 attend the 2010 International Convention in Montreal, Canada.

Bomar  Interact Scholarship and Fred Brown Interact Award of Merit

  • Implement a plan to increase awareness of the Bomar Interact Scholarship & Fred Brown Interact Award of Merit in all 65 clubs.

Disaster Response

  • Implement a disaster response plan to begin presenting to all 65 clubs.

District Communication / Public Relations

  • Educate all Rotary clubs on the use of public relations and district website.

History of District 6780

  • Have at least 30 clubs submit a history of their club for the website and newsletter.

Leadership Development

  • Have all 65 clubs have at least one representative enrolled in the District Leadership Academy and/or Rotary Leadership Institute.

Rotary Foundation

  • Increase the number of Foundation Permanent Fund and Major Donor contributors.
  • Ask each club to encourage and assist every new Rotarian to become a Foundation Sustaining Member.
  • Encourage Paul Harris Fellows to continue to give.
  • Reach or exceed the Polio Plus 2 Million Dollar Challenge.
  • Star Club District Goal of $140 per capita and 65 Star Clubs.
  • Paul Harris Society membership increase by 10 members from the number as of June 30, 2009.
  • Successful District Simplified Grant awarding $50,445 for new projects.
  • Successful Group Study Exchange with District 3500 Taiwan and District 3270 Afghanistan/Pakistan.
  • Club President, Foundation Chair and/or a representative of all 65 clubs attend the Foundation Seminar.
  • Increase awareness of Peace Fellows/Grants for University Teachers.
