District 6780's Long-Range Plan

 District Governor Carol C. Foster

Carol has been a member of the Rotary Club of Fayetteville since 1994 and served the club as secretary from 1995 –1998; vice-president in 1999-2000; and president in 2000-2001. She has served on numerous committees within the Rotary Club of Fayetteville. She graduated from the District Leadership Academy in 2002, served on the International Youth Exchange Committee and as an assistant governor. She was District Secretary from 2005- 2008. Carol is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and a member of the Paul Harris Society.

She was president of the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and president of the Lincoln County Health System Foundation’s charter year.  Carol is an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church and has served on the Session of Elders and as Clerk of the Session. She is an alumnus of the Leadership Lincoln Class of 2004 and Leadership Marshall Class of 2007. She has served on the Leadership Lincoln Board and as secretary. She was involved with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for several years and was the Community Coordinator for all Girl Scout troops in Lincoln County.

Carol was Branch Manager of the Tennessee Valley Office of the Better Business Bureau of Middle Tennessee, serving nine counties for several years. Presently she is serving as Business Development Director at Junior's House, Inc. Child Advocacy Center for the 17th Judicial System. Carol and her Rotary partner, Tony, live in Fayetteville and have two children and five grandchildren.

Carol has been very active in Rotary even before becoming a Rotarian.  Her father, an active Rotarian for nearly 50 years, invited Carol to be a guest speaker three times, brought her as a guest numerous times, and had her preparing Rotary club bulletins and doing other miscellaneous Rotary duties. Carol has always believed “The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands” and now has the honor and opportunity to live this theme with all Rotarians in District 6780 and in the Rotary International World.
