Working at DG Carol LaRue's office are, from left,

Mike Burton (Bradley Sunrise), DGE Carol Foster (Fayetteville),

Roger Larsen (Tellico Village), Web Committee Chair Chris
LaRue (Maryville), and Communications Committee Chair

Karen Bridgeman (Oak Ridge Breakfast).

The District Website Committee was formed, with Chris LaRue of the Maryville Rotary Club as its first chair, to help:

  • District leaders communicate with clubs officers and one another
  • Club officers communicate with District officers and one another
  • Clubs communicate effective with their members and their communities

Others who initially agreed to serve were Mike Burton, Bradley Sunrise; Gordon Lane, Winchester; Roger Larsen, Tellico Lake; and Karen Bridgeman, Oak Ridge Breakfast, who serves as the current chair.

We have chosen ClubWizard, a website management firm founded and run by Rotarian Dennis Tanner, to support the effort. The site uses a what-you-see-is-what-you-get (wysiwyg) text editor and Microsoft Word commands, enabling those who don't know programming languages to contribute signifcantly to the site's development and maintenance.
